The mission of Henry S. Salt Foundation is to promote the ideas of Henry Stephens Salt, an advocate for animal rights and social justice. Through our extensive online collection of Salt’s writings, archival materials, and related resources, we aim to preserving Salt’s writings, promoting his ideas, and inspiring a new generation of activists. Our site serves as an online hub for research, exploration, and intellectual engagement, providing scholars, students, and the public with access to valuable information on Salt’s life, works, and philosophy.
We provide a brief introduction to all aspects of Salt’s life, including his writings, campaign work, influences, family and his circle of friends including Ernest Bell and James Leigh Joynes.
We have an extensive list of Henry Salt’s books, essays, and articles, as well as links to digital copies of many of his works. This makes it easy for anyone interested in Salt’s ideas and writings to explore his work in depth and gain a deeper understanding of his philosophy and legacy.
We welcome and encourage anyone interested in this project to contribute.
